FC Dallas announced the signing Thursday of 17-year-old midfielder Alejandro Urzua.

The academy product is the club's 36th homegrown player, tying Real Salt Lake for the most in MLS history.

Urzua's two-year contract includes club options for 2026, 2027 and 2028.

Urzua played for MLS NEXT Pro side North Texas SC for the past two seasons, making 21 appearances.

He spent five years with the FC Dallas Academy from 2017-21.
