Pushed towards the exit by PSG this summer, Kurzawa is still a capital club player, while the transfer window has now closed.
France Football (via Culture PSG) reveals the behind-the-scenes actions that have resulted in the 29-year-old remaining in the French capital. Whether it’s between lousy timing, questionable choices, and not up to standard agents, Kurzawa missed the boat to leave.
According to the French media outlet, manager Mauricio Pochettino told Kurzawa that he was not counting on him for this season. This gave the defender plenty of time to look at his options, and the first team that expressed serious interest in Kurawa was Galatasaray S.K., but he turned down the Turkish club.
Olympique Lyonnais was another club expressing interest as they were looking to compensate for the departures of Melvin Bard and Maxwel Cornet. However, France Football reveals that Lyon sports director Juninho contacted the Frenchman to meet with the new manager, Peter Bosz.
However, the telephone conversation did not turn out well since the PSG side asked for an extended reflection of ten days, irritating Bosz. The Ligue 1 rival would eventually move on and add Emerson Palmieri.
