The latest news coming out of France is that Kylian Mbappe has informed Paris Saint-Germain he is leaving the club at the end of the season.

According to RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, the 25-year-old has decided to leave the Parc des Princes after seven years.

Following weeks of speculation, the France international, whose contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season, is now expected to leave the club on a free transfer.

Real Madrid are favourites to land the 2018 World Cup winner, but his next club has yet to be officially confirmed.

Either way, with the former Monaco academy starlet reportedly informing president Nasser Al-Khelaifi he will not continue in Paris beyond this summer, fans can now expect the race for his signature to really hot up.

During his seven years with the club, Mbappe, who has scored 243 goals in 290 games, has lifted 13 major trophies, including five Ligue 1 titles.
