Bayern Munich’s ‘worst’ nightmare is a reality. The defending Bundesliga champions are 13 points behind Xabi Alonso ‘s Bayer Leverkusen and with just seven games to go, it isn’t difficult to see who will lift the title. Had someone claimed that the Bayern manager would give up all hope of securing the title at this point in the season, no one would have believed them.

As Leverkusen show no signs of stopping, it is all but confirmed that Bayern’s dominance in the Bundesliga is coming to an abrupt end.
