Hellas Verona have turned down offers from both AC Milan and Napoli for Lazio linked defender Nicolò Casale.

As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla last night, the 23-year-old Italian defender has shined this season for the Gialloblu, attracting the attention of a number of top Serie A clubs.

Both AC Milan and Napoli submitted offers for Casale, around €7-8 million each, but Hellas Verona clearly value him more and so they’ve declined the offers.

Lazio and coach Maurizio Sarri are incredibly keen on the 23-year-old Italian defender but they cannot make any moves for the moment, being blocked by the now-infamous liquidity index.

Things could change in the coming weeks, but the Biancocelesti need to make some sales and fast if they want to strengthen Sarri’s squad.

The 23-year-old Casale has made 21 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1357 minutes. In that time, he has provided one assist.
