The Serie B regular season concludes today and Como are on the verge of promotion, so they have special guests Thierry Henry and Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy in the stands.

The Stadio Sinigalia is packed out for this evening’s match against Cosenza, as Como are sitting second in Serie B with a two-point advantage over Venezia.

Only the top two go directly into Serie A, and Parma have already won the title, while the third will be decided via the play-offs.

Arsenal legend Henry is a shareholder of Como and also friends with assistant manager Cesc Fabregas, who does not have the necessary coaching badges to be considered head coach and therefore shares the role with Osian Roberts.

Como have numerous other links with the Premier League, including President Dennis Wise.

Como went bankrupt in 2016 and were reborn as a new club in Serie D during the 2017-18 season, with Wise joining as an advisor in 2024.

Fabregas was both a minority shareholder and a player for Como before his retirement, when he took over as youth coach.
