Born on September 5, 2001, in Ealing, London, Saka’s footballing journey began at a young age. He joined Arsenal’s Hale End Academy at the tender age of seven, showcasing glimpses of his immense potential from the outset.
Known for his versatility and natural flair on the ball, the youngster quickly caught the eye of coaches and scouts with his electrifying performances in youth tournaments and academy matches.
Rapid Ascent Through the Ranks
As the teenager progressed through the ranks of the Gunners’ youth setup, it became increasingly evident that he was destined for greatness. His breakthrough moment came during the 2018/19 season when then-manager Unai Emery handed him his senior debut in a Europa League match against Ukrainian side Vorskla Poltava as a 17-year-old.

After the disappointment of the Euro finals, Saka went from strength to strength, becoming the main man for both Arsenal and England. He won the Arsenal Player of the Season for the 2021/22 season, becoming the first player since Thierry Henry to win the award in consecutive years.
Saka was also named England Player of the Year for 2021/22 and 2022/23, beating out competition from Harry Kane, Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham.
He played a pivotal part as Arsenal finished second in the 2022/23 Premier League season behind treble-winning rivals Manchester City while guiding the Gunners to the UEFA Champions League after seven long years. Saka’s goals and assists have also pushed Arsenal to the top of the table in the current domestic league season with a couple of games left to go.
