Chelsea are set to sign Inter Milan’s youth talent Cesare Casadei for between €15m-20m this summer, but that investment won’t just go towards the midfielder.

According to blog SempreInter, who quote Italian insider Alfredo Pedulla, Inter are planning to use that money to offset the loan fee for Romelu Lukaku this season – Pedulla cites that amount as €8m up front plus another €4m if they win Serie A.

That means we can cancel out a lot of that exchange, leaving Chelsea with only a small sum for pay for the teenage prodigy.

Not only that, but should Inter decide to make the Lukaku deal permanent – as most fans of both Chelsea and Inter are hoping – then in fact the Blues will have no payments at all to make for Casadei, and it can all be netted off from the Lukaku money.

Perhaps this can work out nicely for all parties involved.
