It would be fair to say the recent Jadon Sancho announcement has been welcomed by his new Manchester United team-mates, especially Bruno Fernandes, who made it very clear he is excited to link-up with the England international at Old Trafford.

Sancho has completed his transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United, in a deal that cost £73 million, as per BBC Sport. In an official interview with the club, the kid who lit up the Bundesliga expressed his excitement after signing for the Reds.

“The chance to join Manchester United is a dream come true and I cannot wait to perform in the Premier League,” Sancho told the official Manchester United website. “This is a young and exciting squad and I know, together, we can develop into something special to bring the success the fans deserve.”

Sancho will be looking at United over the past 10 or so years and want to ensure that he is part of a team that wins trophies. Last season we were second best and additions like this can only help strengthen the team.

As you would expect, Friday’s lunchtime announcement prompted a huge reaction on social media – with some fans unhappy that Sancho was given the #25 shirt.

However, many of Sancho’s new team-mates at Old Trafford have been reacting to the news with a more positive spin. Former players Rio Ferdinand and Mike Phelan were also buzzing with the news.
