Inter have de facto sealed the deal to sign Mehdi Taremi on a Bosman move. A recent meeting with his camp was highly productive. They have formally communicated to Porto to be in talks with the striker, as permitted by the rules since his contract expires in less than six months, SportMediaset informs.

The step confirms that they have reached an agreement on personal terms. He could be brought in for the medicals way before the end of the campaign. He’s currently in Qatar for the AFC Asian Cup, so it might not happen soon.

Taremi will sign a three-year contract with Inter and triple his wages relative to his Porto deal. He’ll finally move to Serie A after being very close to Milan and the Nerazzurri in recent windows.

His future team is expected to have a quiet end of the January window. Stefano Sensi will complete his anticipated move to Leicester City. The clubs are ironing out the details. He could depart on loan, with a €500k fee, and an obligation to make the transfer permanent if the Foxes get promoted to the Premier League. They are leading the Championship.

Inter intend to bring in Taremi to replace Alexis Sanchez, who signed a one-year deal last summer. In that case, he’d join Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, and Valentin Carboni, who will likely stay put following a productive loan spell at Monza.
