After being postponed due to medical reasons, the highly anticipated Jake Paul (9-1) versus Mike Tyson (50-6-2) boxing match originally scheduled for July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, has a new date.
The bout will now take place on Nov. 15 at the same venue with the Katie Taylor-Amanda Serrano rematch set as the co-main event.
The card had to be moved after Tyson had an ulcer flare-up on May 26 during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Because of the incident, the 57-year-old Tyson had to scale back his training and fight preparation at his doctor’s request.
“Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly,” Tyson said in a statement via ESPN. “I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me and to MVP, Netflix, and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best reschedule date for all parties. While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out.”
The new date is Friday rather than Saturday, as originally planned because the grounds crew needed the extra time to prepare the field for the Week 11 “Monday Night Football” game between the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans at AT&T Stadium.
The Paul-Tyson card will still be streamed live on Netflix and tickets purchased for the original July date will be honored for the November card.

The bout will consist of eight two-minute rounds and be sanctioned as a professional fight that counts toward each fighter’s pro records.
Tyson last fought professionally in 2005 when he suffered a sixth-round loss to Kevin McBride via corner retirement. He’s had eight bouts over the last two-plus decades, posting a 4-3-1 record.
On the other hand, Paul has been the more active boxer lately, fighting 10 times over the last three-plus years. However, three of his opponents have had actual boxing experience — Tommy Fury, Andre August and Ryan Bourland. All three went to a decision, with Fury being the only fighter to beat Paul.
