Inter Milan will likely face off against the likes of Atletico Madrid and PSG in their upcoming preseason tour of China.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

This summer, Inter will have their preseason tour in China.

That will be the first time that the Nerazzurri play preseason friendlies in the country since 2019.

Last summer, Inter had their preseason tour in Japan. They faced off against the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Al-Nassr.

As it happened, Inter played two teams featuring players who had only just left the Nerazzurri that summer.

Defender Milan Skriniar had joined PSG from Inter. And Al-Nassr featured midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, who the Nerazzurri had sold to the Saudi club earlier in the window.

This time around, Inter will be playing in China. And the question will be which clubs the Nerazzurri come up against in their preseason friendlies.

And according to the Gazzetta, there are two very likely candidates in this respect.

Both will be major European rivals of the Nerazzurri.

Inter To Face Atletico Madrid & PSG In Preseason Friendlies In China

Firstly, the Gazzetta anticipate that Inter will face off against the team who eliminated them from the Champions League this season.

La Liga giants Atletico overturned a 1-0 Inter victory in the first leg of a round of sixteen tie in Europe’s top club competition.

The Colchoneros won the second leg 2-1 at home. They then advanced to the quarterfinals on penalties, although they were then dumped out by finalists Borussia Dortmund.

Atletico will also hold their preseason tour in China, and are likely friendly opponents for Inter.

And then, the Gazzetta report that PSG are also likely opponents for Inter.

As with last summer, the Nerazzurri and the Parisians are set to hold their preseason tours in the same country.

Therefore, there could be another clash between the two sides in preparation for next season.
