Inter Milan are keeping an eye on Red Bull Salzburg wingback Amar Dedic as a possible replacement for Man United and Aston Villa target Denzel Dumfries.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

One are on the pitch where Inter could be making a signing this summer is on the right flank.

Everything would depend on the future of 28-year-old Dutch international Dumfries in that respect.

At the moment, Dumfries is out of contract with Inter at the end of next June.

Therefore, Inter’s intention is to either extend the Dutchman’s deal, or else sell him this summer. They will aim to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

And if Inter do put Dumfries on the market, the likeliest destination would be the Premier League.

Manchester United are long-term admirers of Dumfries.

But the Red Devils are not the only club keen on the former PSV wingback. Aston Villa are on the verge of sealing Champions League qualification, and see Dumfries as a target to reinforce their squad.

Inter would want around €30 million to sell Dumfries.

Inter Tracking Amar Dedic As Denzel Dumfries Replacement

Should Dumfries be on his way, Inter will aim to sign a replacement for the 28-year-old.

The target would be a player with a similar style of play.

Among the Nerazzurri’s targets are Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Fiorentina’s Michael Kayode, and AZ Alkmaar’s Yukinari Sugawara.

However, there is also another name on Inter’s shortlist, reports the Gazzetta.

The newspaper anticipate that the Nerazzurri would consider a move for 21-year-old Bosnian international Dedic.

Inter have already seen Dedic play firsthand, in Champions League group stage matches earlier this season.

The Bosnian has been in outstanding form for Salzburg. There is a sense that the Austrian club would struggle to keep hold of him this summer.

If Dedic is to leave, however, Salzburg will want around €20 million.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta note, Roma have already shown an interest in Dedic in the past.
