Striker Mehdi Taremi says that Inter Milan have been “unlucky” and “deserved more points” in the Serie A title race.

The 32-year-old spoke to InterTV ahead of today’s clash with Lazio, via FCInterNews. He added that Inter will “try until the end.”

Inter Milan’s fate is not in their hands in the Serie A title race.

The Nerazzurri know that they have to rely on Napoli dropping points if they are to retain their title.

That is the result of a season in which Inter simply never managed to find the kind of consistency that they did last time around.

Napoli have also dropped points here and there. However, they have managed to grind out results, and above all, wins.

Inter, on the other hand, have squandered their momentum at times. Particularly with some points that they have dropped unnecessarily.

However, in the view of Nerazzurri striker Mehdi Taremi, there is also a big element of luck in this.

Mehdi Taremi: “Inter Milan Unlucky, Deserved More Points” In Serie A Title Race

Striker Mehdi Taremi gave his thoughts on the title race in his first season at Inter.

“I think we’ve been unlucky,” said the former Porto striker. “We’ve deserved more points.”

“Now we’re focused on the final part of the season,” Taremi added.

‘There are two matches left. And we’ll try to give everything until the end.”

Meanwhile, Taremi also gave his thoughts on this evening’s match against Lazio.

“We’ve prepared well for this team,” said the Iranian international. “Because we know that Lazio are a good team, we respect them.”

“They’re trying to qualify for the Champions League. But we’ll give everything to win, because we believe we can do it.”

And as far as what the strikers have to do in this Inter team, Mehdi Taremi said that “we have to help the team with goals.”

“We’ll give everything to do that,” the 32-year-old added.
