Paris Saint-Germain remain relatively unlikely to make a move for Inter defender Milan Skriniar this month, and are more inclined to wait until the summer when they can sign him on a free transfer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Parisians have earmarked €15-20 million as a sign-on bonus for the player rather than a transfer fee for the Nerazzurri, which would make a move unlikely.

Inter are increasingly considering a sale of Skriniar while they have the chance as their best option now that it is clear that the player intends to leave whether it is this month or in the summer.

However, as of yet, no indication has arrived that his likely destination PSG intend to sign him as early as during the January transfer window.

After missing out on the Slovakian in the summer, the Parisians’ strategy has changed to trying to persuade the former Sampdoria defender to join on a free transfer when his contract with the Nerazzurri runs out.

For this, the French champions could pay the 27-year-old a hefty sign-on bonus, and according to Tuttosport around €15-20 million is allocated to this.

If PSG were to jump the gun and make an offer for Skriniar this month, then the fee meant for Skriniar would instead end up in the coffers of Inter, which could be a problem in the French club’s negotiation with the player.
