Mathias Jensen is happy Christian Norgaard is new Brentford club captain.

The midfielder succeeds Pontus Jansson, who has left for Malmo.

Bees teammate Jensen said: "I think it is the right choice. He is a good leader and a good personality who can easily carry that responsibility.

"I think he is the right person to take over from Pontus."

Jensen added: "There were many who had thought that we would have a difficult season, but it is not something that we ourselves have feared at all. We have a good culture, a good environment and a good work ethic, so we couldn't see why it would be more difficult in the second season.

"We have also proven that it didn't happen, so that's great."
