Johnny Cardoso is delighted with his move to Real Betis.

The USA midfielder arrived from Internacional this month and was emotional at today's signing ceremony.

Cardoso said: "I'm very happy, this has been a dream since I was a child. Being able to share this moment with my family is a privilege. Being able to join a club as big as Betis, which has made me feel at home from the first moment, makes me very happy.

"I am very happy with everything that has happened in the short time I have been here. For me it was a very special feeling to be able to be with the group at the home game, with our fans, which is a spectacle. I mentioned it to my parents too, and it's been incredible to see how they support the team.

"I spoke with (Manuel) Pellegrini, he welcomed me, he told me to be calm during my adaptation here, it is a very big change, it is necessary time, but it gave me confidence to be able to do my best and help the team.

"I have a lot of reference for players in my position like Guido Rodrguez, Guardado, and also Joaqun, who accompanies us. They are high-level players and now I have the privilege of being able to be and learn with them."
