Kang-in Lee scored and assisted in Thursday’s 5-0 South Korea win over Indonesia, and the 22-year-old continues to turn heads. Over the last few weeks, the midfielder has taken his form to another level with Paris Saint-Germain and his national team.

Lee’s performance has South Korea’s captain and Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min praising the PSG star. However, Son isn’t alone in seeing the potential that the former RCD Mallorca player is flashing.

South Korea manager Jurgen Klinsmann commented on the growth he’s seen from Lee over the last few months.

“When you play teams that play against you very defensively, you need creativity,” Klinsmann told Yonhap News Agency. “You need players that can cross the balls in, you need runs into the box, you need fast passing, high tempo, and getting balls if possible, maybe behind the backline if there is a little bit of space.

“Kang-in Lee can play these balls. He can score. The growth of Kang-in Lee over the last six months is a joy for us as coaches.”

PSG’s sporting advisor, Luis Campos, revealed the grind he invested in securing the addition of the South Korean player in an interview with Le Parisien. Campos applauded Lee’s playing style, citing its alignment with his tactical preferences amidst economic constraints.

As a result, the jubilant acquisition of Lee thus represents a harmonious blend of economic significance, sportive vision, and an understanding of the commercial landscape.
