Kieran Tierney believes he has already played his last game for Arsenal as he prepares to leave Real Sociedad this summer.

The Scotland international opted to join La Real on a season long loan at the start of the 2023/24 campaign with his first team opportunities limited at the Emirates Stadium.

The picture has not changed for Tierney during his time in San Sebastian with the Gunners battling for the Premier League title.

However, despite consistently indicating his delight at being giving a chance to revive his career in the Basque Country, injuries have disrupted his time in La Liga.

La Real are unlikely to activate their purchase clause on the former Celtic left back and he faces an uncertain few months.

Tierney was pragmatic over his next step, via an interview with The Athletic, claiming there are no hard feelings towards Mikel Arteta, but he is ready to move on.

“They have Zinchenko, Timber, Tomiyasu, Kiwior. Four players can play in my position. So if I go back, and it’s the same as before then I’m not silly, I know the chances are I’ll be leaving”, he said.

The 25-year-old still has two years left on his contract at Arsenal and the Premier League title chasers will push for a transfer fee of around €12m.
