Manchester City are prepared to wait until the summer before they make a move from Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich. The German international has been linked with a move to the European champions for some time. He has fallen out of favour with Thomas Tuchel this season as reported by Tamara Prenn for the Daily Mail.

Harry Pratt reports for the Daily Star that the treble winners are prepared to be patient to secure Kimmich. Pratt adds that Manchester City believe that can secure the Bayern stalwart for a smaller transfer fee in the summer than they could if they made a move for Kimmich during the January transfer window due to his contract situation. Furthermore, Pratt reports that Liverpool and Manchester United are also monitoring the situation of the German international.  But they consider City the favourites to land the midfielder he adds. He further reports that the Bayern Munich man is prepared to wait until the summer before securing a move to the Etihad.

It would represent good business if the world champions wait until making any move for Kimmich. If the midfielder is keen to move to the treble winners City’s patience will prove a prudent move. With the midfielder only having 12 months left on his current contract at the end of the season, it would have City well placed for a summer move.

The champion’s interest and potential move for the midfielder will be a story to watch. If they could seal a move for the midfielder he could prove to be invaluable to the Manchester City squad.
