Manchester United have just been charged by the FA because of an incident that occurred during their FA Cup clash with Fulham.

The Red Devils sealed their place in the next round of the competition after a dramatic 3-1 victory over Fulham last week.

It looked like Marco Silva’s team could get the better of Man Utd at Old Trafford for a time but they threw it all away in a moment of madness.

In the space of a minute, Fulham conceded a penalty and was hit with three red cards, Silva for arguing with the ref and Willian for a handball.

The third was given to Aleksandar Mitrovic who pushed the referee in his rage.

But despite all this, it is Manchester United who has been hit with a charge.

“Manchester United FC has been charged after its players surrounded a match official during the 71st minute of The FA Cup tie against Fulham FC on Sunday 19 March.” The statement reads.

“It’s alleged that Manchester United FC failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or do not behave in a way which is improper.”
