Lorient coach Regis Le Bris drew positives from Benjamin Mendy in defeat to Olympique Marseille on Sunday.

OM won 4-2 at Lorient, with former Manchester City defender Mendy scoring on his first start for his new club. It also marked his first start and goal in over two years after his problems in England.

Le Bris said: "No catastrophism! we have to move forward, we have come back from injury, I saw a good Bamba Dieng, Benjamin Mendy's first start also gives me something, we have a balance problem, we are chasing that, we have changed 70% of the squad but we must also not forget that we came across a good OM.

"We don't take away our responsibility but we also have to recognise that they had a good match.

"We reversed the trend in the second half and we must build on that. I am disappointed, I am not shying away from any responsibility, nor are the players and we are going to fight to rectify the situation."
