Napoli have officially announced the arrival of winger Cyril Ngonge from Hellas Verona on a definitive transfer.

The 23-year-old Belgian forward arrived at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome on Thursday to carry out his medicals with the defending champions ahead of the switch from the Gialloblu. He is reportedly moving in a definitive transfer worth around €18m plus add-ons.

Ngonge joined Hellas Verona from FC Groningen in January last year and quickly made a strong impression in the Veneto capital, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists in 36 matches across all competitions.

As confirmed today, Ngonge has now officially completed his move from Hellas Verona to Napoli, choosing the shirt number 26.

The Partenopei have been in freefall this season, something president Aurelio De Laurentiis apologised for and promised to try and resolve in the January transfer window. They’ve also completed deals for Pasquale Mazzocchi and Hamed Junior Traore in recent weeks.
