Now it’s official – Inter Milan and Kristjan Asllani are champions of Serie A for the 2023-24 season.

This is the Nerazzurri’s twentieth league title in their history. That means that they can now sew the second star over the crest on their shirts.

This is an historic trophy also in that Inter clinched it with a win in the Milan derby.

Neither the Nerazzurri nor city rivals AC Milan had ever done so before.

But at the end of a fiery derby clash that saw three red cards, referee Andrea Colombo blew the final whistle and Inter rushed onto the pitch to celebrate.

Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani took to Instagram to celebrate the Serie A title.
