Tottenham are in negotiations with Galatasaray to cut Tanguy Ndombele’s loan move short.

Ndombele was signed by Tottenham from Lyon in 2019 for a club-record fee of £63m, but has failed to live up to expectations since his arrival.

He has failed to impress any of the managers who have managed the club in recent years.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Napoli helping them to win the league but the Italian club did not sign him permanently despite an option to buy, with his asking price deemed too steep by Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli,.

Tottenham struggled to loan out the Frenchman in the summer but found suitors in Galatasaray very late in the summer.

But his loan move with the Turkish giants has been nothing but a disaster. He has had major disciplinary issues and his weight has also been a problem.

Last week it was reported that the player was involved in a bust-up with manager Okan Buruk after he was caught ordering a hamburger and a coke despite being on a weight-loss program.

According to Super Haber, Galatasaray boss has given the orders to send Tanguy Ndombele back to Tottenham Hotspur in January.

It reports that the club has already began negotiations with Tottenham to end the player’s loan in the upcoming window.

It is understood that the player’s manager and teammates have grown frustrated with Ndombele’s perceived lack of effort on and off the pitch.

Some have expressed concerns about his weight, suggesting that there may be no way forward for him at Galatasaray.

With Ndombele’s Tottenham contract entering its final 18 months, the club may have to consider a cut-price exit to address the situation.

Manager Ange Postecoglou would likely prefer to maintain dressing room harmony and stability.

The upcoming January transfer window will reveal whether there is any interest from other clubs in signing Ndombele should he return to Tottenham.
