One Chelsea player who is leaving the club could end up staying in London and joining a close rival club in news that will upset Blues fans today.

The big news of the week was always going to bring more drama, and the extended stories from that news is coming out now and will be ongoing until the end of the season now, no doubt.

Thiago Silva announced that he will be leaving Chelsea at the end of the season after four years at the club. We know he is leaving, but there is no indication of where he is going yet.

We know that there is interest to bring him back to Brazil to end his playing career where it began. We also know that his sons play in the Chelsea academy at Cobham. And we also know that his Wife, Belle, seems to be very happy living in London. So his future is unknown, but it will worry Chelsea fans that it looks like he wants to stay and live in London now and in the future.

Could this suggest that he could may move to one of Chelsea’s London rivals?

Well, TNT Sports Brazil are reporting that Silva has proposals from THREE London clubs in what would be huge news and also very upsetting for Blues fans.

There is no indication yet that he would accept or has accepted any of these proposals, but you’d be forgiven for getting worried about all the signs suggesting that he may well end up staying in London and playing for another local club to him.

I still remember Frank Lampard joining Manchester City. That one hurt a bit, and it wasn’t even a London rival that he joined.

Silva isn’t quite the level of legend that Lampard is, but seeing him playing for another London club would hurt a lot.
