Kylian Mbappé played a major role in Paris Saint-Germain eliminating FC Barcelona from the UEFA Champions League. The capital club secured a 4-1 second-leg win (6-4 on aggregate) over the Catalan side to move onto the semifinal.

Mbappé sealed the victory with two goals, the first coming on a penalty kick in the 61st minute and added an insurance goal in the 89th minute. The brace also put the Frenchman in elite company, joining a Real Madrid legend, which ironically came at the cost of their eternal La Liga rival.

Squawka highlighted on Twitter that only Cristiano Ronaldo (23 in 39 games) has scored more away goals in the knockout rounds of the Champions League than Mbappé (15). Additionally, the Frenchman has done it in 12 games.

The 25-year-old could add to this tally when the Parisians face Borussia Dortmund, whom they’ve already faced in the group stage this 2023-24 season. Both teams know they need to perform at their best with the winner clinching their spot in the final at Wembley Stadium.
