AC Milan got that winning feeling back again last night as they beat Cagliari 5-1 at San Siro, and Christian Pulisic had a starring role yet again.

MilanNews recall that it was against Claudio Ranieri’s side that Pulisic scored his first brace for the Rossoneri. He is having an excellent debut season at the club with 15 goals scored across Serie A, the Champions League and Europa League, topped off with nine assists.

The contribution that he offers to Milan is not purely numbers-based either though because his versatility and quality give Stefano Pioli more choices. Pulisic is useful as a left winger, right winger and, if necessary, an attacking midfielder behind the striker.

In addition to that first brace of the season last night, the two goals against Cagliari propelled the American to 12 goals in Serie A, momentarily surpassing strikers like Lukaku, Zapata and Zirkzee.

The former Chelsea man continues to demonstrate all his value and he keeps popping up with important contributions. An interesting stat is that he has scored seven goals with his strongest foot, his right, and therefore he has eight goals with his ‘weaker’ left foot.

He is a machine of quality and speed capable of magic with both feet, and he also matched Robinho too with the goals last night. The Brazilian also scored 15 goals in his first year in Italy and contributed in a fundamental way to the victory of the 18th Scudetto under Allegri’s tenure.
