Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Cagliari this evening, Christian Pulisic spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the task at hand. He was also asked about his season as an individual, with great numbers to show for it.

The American has bagged 13 goals and 9 assists for Milan this season (all competitions), certainly bouncing back from a very tough campaign with Chelsea last season. Arriving for a mere €20m plus bonuses, the Rossoneri are indeed very happy with the signing.

Prior to today’s game against Cagliari, in which he will start as a left winger, Pulisic shared his thoughts on the difficult clash in an interview with MilanTV (via SempreMilan). He also agreed that it could be seen as his best season ever.

It will be a tough game against Cagliari, who are fighting for salvation…

“You said it, it’s not going to be an easy one. Of course, they are fighting as well so they are going to be motivated to win today. We need to put in a good performance at home and hopefully, we can win the game.”

Is this the best season in your career?

“It’s difficult to say, statistics-wise maybe you can say that, but I’m just really enjoying this season a lot with this new team. I have had a lot of opportunities to play here and show my qualities, above all I’m just enjoying my football.”

Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez are both on the bench today and that hasn’t happened before this season, with at least one always starting. It’s a clear signal from Stefano Pioli who wants his side to bounce back after a tough month.
