Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos says coach Carlo Ancelotti is always lying to the players to keep them motivated.

Kroos and Real are in action tonight against Real Sociedad.

He told his podcast: "The interesting thing is that Carlo last week, before the match in Mallorca, said: 'If we play the match in Mallorca and win, it's over'. And then after winning in the Balearics he revealed to me: 'I lied to you, we'll win next week, it's over!'

Now, that Real Madrid have won the Clasico, Carletto was at it again.

"After the last match, now, he said three things," continued Kroos. "First of all, congratulations. Second: it will end when we beat Real Sociedad on Friday. And third: two days of rest," said Kroos, laughing.
