Real Madrid president Florentino Perez paid tribute to his players after their title winning parade.

Florentino was also eager to highlight the impact of coach Carlo Ancelotti.

He said: "I want to thank the president of the Community for welcoming us with so much affection. Here is Laliga number 36, a very special League because we have conquered it with the values of our shield.

"We have achieved everything we have achieved in these 122 years with humility, respect, solidarity and fair play. It is very difficult to overcome the adversities we have suffered this season and this team has risen to the worst of football, which are injuries.

"Here are Militao, Courtois and Alaba, who have been an example of improvement. This team has overcome a situation that seemed irreversible."

He also said: "I am convinced that the suffering of the squad has been a reason for improvement and pride. This team is hungry for triumphs and victories despite everything they have won.

"He is already one of the great coaches in all of history."
