Keylor Navas is the No. 3 goalkeeper behind Gianluigi Donnarumma and Arnau Tenas. As a result, the veteran shot-stopper had eyed a move away from the French capital this past summer.

Navas spent the second half of the 2022-23 season with Nottingham Forest but returned to PSG after his loan spell was over. The Costa Rican international likely did his best to offer himself to other clubs, including Real Madrid.

According to MARCA, Navas wanted to return to Real Madrid last summer. The Spanish side states that the PSG goalkeeper offered himself after Thibaut Courtois’ injury but was rejected. Instead, Los Blancos went with a loan deal for Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The January transfer window will open on Monday, so Navas might offer himself to other clubs needing help between the pipes. It will be interesting to see if anyone decides to take a chance on the veteran to allow him to receive playing time since he won’t have that with PSG this season.
