Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is currently on loan at Turkish club Galatasaray.

The 26-year-old had fallen down the pecking order at the north London club and he joined Galatasaray on loan at the start of the season. He was expected to get his career back on track with regular football in the Turkish league, but things have not gone according to plan for him.

Ndombele has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot for Galatasaray and he is likely to be on his way back to the London club when the window reopens in January.

A report from Milliyet claims that Galatasaray will part ways with the French international midfielder. The 26-year-old was initially criticised for his fitness issues and the report now claims that the Turkish club’s technical staff have ‘negative thoughts’ about the midfielder.

It is evident that he has not been able to win over the staff or the manager at Galatasaray and it makes sense for the two parties to go separately.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to give him opportunities during the second half of the season.

He was regarded as a world-class prospect during his time at Lyon, but his move to the Premier League did not work out either. He failed to establish himself as a starter for Tottenham under multiple managers and it is fair to assume that he does not have a future at the north London club.

It remains to be seen whether he can win over Ange Postecoglou during the second half of the campaign if he ends up returning to Tottenham.
