According to reports in England, Timothy Weah has rejected a proposed loan move to Everton, as he wants to make his mark at Juventus.

Guardian Sport writer Ed Aarons claims the offer was made and quickly cast aside by the player himself.

The USMNT star turns 24 next month and made the transfer to Juve over the summer for €11m plus bonuses from Lille.

He has struggled to make an impact in Turin, contributing just one goal and one assist in 19 games between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Able to play on the right or the left side of midfield, he dropped down the pecking order under coach Max Allegri following a thigh injury in November 2023.

Weah only started one of the last seven Serie A matches, with Andrea Cambiaso generally preferred.

Juve had already sent Moise Kean on loan to Everton last season and were perhaps open to the idea of giving Weah more regular playing time too, but the son of legend George Weah was not interested.
