Benjamin Sesko’s agent was present at Old Trafford for Manchester United’s clash with Arsenal on Sunday, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed.

Given the unpredictability of some of the Reds’ matches this season, this one was somewhat of a snoozefest in comparison.

United fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Premier League leaders, with the only goal of the game coming from Leandro Trossard in the 20th minute. The Gunners’ resilient backline, which has led to David Raya being awarded the Golden Glove, ensured the likes of Rasmus Hojlund didn’t get a sniff at goal throughout his time on the pitch.

Anthony Martial’s long-term absence means that Hojlund has been Erik ten Hag’s only recognised striker since last December. Marcus Rashford has deputised at times in the No.9 role, but he too is sidelined, and it’s evident that he much prefers operating from the left flank.

Therefore, it’s no surprise that United have found themselves linked with Sesko – RB Leipzig’s 20-year-old starlet who’s being heavily tipped for a summer move away from Germany.

He’s notched 17 goals and two assists this term and is viewed as a high-quality centre-forward who can ease the goalscoring burden on Hojlund.

It must be noted that Arsenal are also believed to be interested in the Slovenian, so there’s no wonder why his agent chose yesterday’s game to attend before the season draws to a close.
