Once strongly linked with a move to Lazio, Hellas Verona forward Cyril Ngonge is still on the radars of a couple of top-flight suitors. The Belgian prodigy’s future is still up in the air despite possessing three more years on his contract in the North of Italy.

As per calcio transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla (via SassuoloNews ), Sassuolo have emerged as a likely destination for Ngonge after the Neroverdi management reportedly enquired about his availability. The versatile forward, who is noted for his ability to function in various roles upfront, also has Bologna in the picture.

And talks with the Rossoblu have reportedly progressed since links initially emerged last month, with a €7M offer tabled for Ngonge. The scenario nonetheless pitches Sassuolo the chance to enter negotiations and perhaps steal 23-year-old Ngonge from Verona.

The Club Brugge academy graduate registered 5 goals and one assist in 16 appearances for Verona since joining from Dutch outfit Groningen in January 2023.
