Frosinone striker Matias Soule confirms Max Allegri ‘forced me to cut my hair’ and is still ‘talking to Juventus’ about his future, but has his sights set on Real Madrid.

The Argentine talent will turn 21 later this month and has flourished during his loan experience at Frosinone, scoring 10 Serie A goals and providing two assists in 28 games.

There was reportedly an approach from Saudi Arabia in January, which both the player and his parent club turned down, though the situation could change in the summer.

“I am talking to Juventus, I still don’t know what will happen,” Soule told ESPN Deportes.

“I am very anxious, but first I have these remaining eight games to play with Frosinone. I didn’t have much chance of playing time at Juventus, so I accepted this loan.”

He first came to Europe for the Bianconeri from Velez Sarsfield in January 2020 as a big €2.6m investment and quickly climbed the various youth rankings to reach the first team.

“I was also wanted by Atletico Madrid, Benfica, Monaco, many teams, but it was a quick decision for me because I think Juventus are a huge club.”

However, when he was asked about his ultimate career dream, he looks further afield.

“My dream would be to play for Real Madrid. I always thought about that since I was a child. And also to win the Champions League.”

Soule took the opportunity of being teammates with Cristiano Ronaldo to press him on details of the Merengues.

“I was surprised by what a nice person he was. I mean, he’s a genius. I remember one day we went to lunch and he sat next to me, we’d never spoken before and I really didn’t expect it. But he told me all about life in Madrid and the cars he owned.”

The new kid learned quickly that at Juventus, there are certain standards to be upheld.

“Allegri forced me to cut my hair when he saw I had bleached it!”

It’s not entirely unique, as Allegri has long had an antipathy towards the modern hairstyles of young players, complaining that Kenan Yildiz “touched his hair a hundred times” during his Serie A debut and needed to either cut it or get some better hairbands.
