Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven suffered an injury setback during their recent victory against Aston Villa, where he displayed exceptional performance in the first half, aiding in maintaining a goalless scoreline.

However, his impressive display was cut short as he sustained a hamstring injury early in the second half, leading to his substitution.

He was replaced by new signing Radu Dragusin, who stepped up and contributed significantly to Tottenham’s commanding 4-0 win over Aston Villa.

Despite initial positive reports, including from the manger himself, suggesting that the injury was not very severe – Injury expert Dr. Rajpal Brar suggested that he could be out for longer than initially expected.

Paul O’Keefe shares positive update on Micky van de Ven

Reliable club insider, Paul O Keefe has now shared the latest regarding the Dutchman’s fitness and his expected return.

Sharing a positive update on X, O Keefe claimed that Micky van de Ven has been involved in some training in recent days. However, it is not sure whether Ange Postecoglou will play him against Luton or save him for the match against West Ham as Spurs are scheduled to play twice in three days.

He posted on X:

“Micky van de Ven has taken part in some training but Ange is to decide whether to save him for West Ham as Spurs face 2 games in 3 days.”

Tottenham are very much still in the race to finish top 4 ahead of Villa but can not afford any more slip-ups.

They are currently 5th, just 3 points behind Aston Villa but have a game in hand. Win both games and they move ahead of Villa, with the top 4 finish theirs to lose then onwards.

Ange will hope that all his key players are fit between now and the end of the season as we enter the crucial stage in the league.
