Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed Tiago Djaló ‘could’ make his debut against Salernitana tomorrow while Italian sources claim the Bianconeri may consider a loan move for the Portuguese defender in 2024-25.

Juventus‘ January signing Djaló could make his debut at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday in a Serie A match against already-relegated Salernitana.

Alex Sandro, Mattia De Sciglio and Danilo are injured against the Granata and Allegri has confirmed that the Portuguese defender could be included in the starting XI for the first time since joining Juventus on a permanent transfer from Lille in the 2024 winter transfer window.

Tiago Djaló hopes for Juventus debut amid loan exit rumours

Djaló has yet to make his debut with the Serie A giants. He has been recovering from a knee injury he suffered last year while at Lille.

“Djaló is improving, he could even play. Without Danilo and Alex Sandro, I have four defenders and three will play,” Allegri said at a press conference on Saturday.

The 25-year-old has signed a contract until June 2026, but there’s an option to extend his stay in Turin for two more years.

Gazzetta reported on Saturday that Juventus could decide to loan out Djaló in 2024-25 but it will depend on his fitness over the last few months and the possible signings in defence from the Bianconeri.

Juventus have been linked with Irish defender Jake O’Brien (Lyon) as well as Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori.
