Dairon Asprilla, Nathan Fogaca and Jaroslaw Niezgoda all scored their first goals of the season in a 10-minute, second-half stretch and the host Portland Timbers rallied to a 4-1 victory over the Seattle Sounders on Saturday night.

Asprilla scored on a sensational bicycle kick to start the rally for Portland (2-4-2, 8 points) in the 71st minute after Seattle (5-2-1, 16 points) had dominated the contest to that point.

Focaga's winner five minutes later sealed the Timbers' first victory since the opening weekend of the season.

Niezgoda added a tap-in to complete the dramatic turn and give the Timbers a fourth consecutive win over their regional rivals. That's the longest such win streak in the history of the rivalry since both teams began the MLS version of it with Portland's entrance in the league in 2011.

Juan Mosquera added his second of the season just before full time to complete the rout and the second three-goal victory in that stretch.

Raul Ruidiaz scored his second of the season in the 58th minute for the Sounders, who created the majority of the chances to that point.

But Seattle's three goals conceded in 10 minutes and four in 19 marked the first time they'd allowed multiple goals in a match this season.

The night all changed on a brilliant individual play from Asprilla in the 71st minute.

After a series of passes around the edge of the penalty area, Santiago Moreno lobbed in a speculative diagonal ball toward the left half of the area.

With his back to goal, Asprilla pivoted and leaped backward, bringing his right leg over his body and whipping a ferocious shot that left Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei little chance.

Fogaca doubled the lead five minutes later when he took a pass in stride to split center backs Yeimar and Jackson Ragen, then finished easily on the break past Frei.

And it was 3-1 in the 80th when Niezgoda took advantage of a misplay from Frei to score a rebound from close range.
