LOSC Lille striker Jonathan David has been linked with a move away from the French club and journalist Matteo Moretto has now revealed that he is likely to head to the Premier League at the end of the season.

The development will certainly come as a major boost for clubs like Tottenham, who are keen on securing his services.

A report from TEAMtalk claims that Tottenham and Manchester United admire the 24 year-old Canadian international striker and it remains to be seen whether they come forward with an offer to sign the player during the summer transfer window.

David has established himself as one of the best strikers in French football and he has 16 goals and seven assists to his name across all competitions.

The 24-year-old striker is likely to improve with coaching and experience and he is certainly good enough to play for the biggest clubs in the world.

Tottenham are yet to replace Harry Kane and they need a reliable goalscoring presence upfront. They have been overly dependent on Son Heung-min for goals this season. While Richarlison has improved in recent weeks, Tottenham need more depth in that department.

David will be tempted to join a big club like Tottenham and he will look to prove himself in the Premier League. Tottenham have an impressive squad at their disposal, but they need more quality if they want to win major trophies. Someone like David could improve them immensely going forward.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can win the race for his signature. The striker is reportedly valued at £43 million and Tottenham certainly have the financial muscle to afford him.
