Marcus Edwards is once again being linked with a return to Tottenham ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Sporting Lisbon star has been linked with a move to his former club since last January.

It has previously been reported that Edwards would be eager to return to Tottenham.

A recent report from the Record, as reported by Sport Witness, has reinforced these claims, suggesting that Edwards is positively considering a move back to England in the upcoming transfer window, presenting an opportunity for Tottenham to make a move.

It is understood that Edwards will make a decision regarding his future at the conclusion of the current season.

Earlier reports suggested that Spurs hold a buy-back clause for Edwards valued at £34 million, just 65% of his £52 million release clause, providing them with a cost-effective option to secure his services.

And due to the clause, Spurs will be able to sign him on a cheap, making him an attractive option for the club to pursue.

While specific figures have not been disclosed, Sporting Lisbon is reportedly already seeking a replacement for Edwards, indicating the possibility of his departure from the Portuguese club.

Edwards eyeing a return to Tottenham?

The allure of returning to London could play a significant role in Edwards’ decision-making process, as he considers his options for the next phase of his career. Whether Tottenham, under the management of Ange Postecoglou, will make a move to fulfill Edwards’ desire remains to be seen.

With Ange Postecoglou at the helm, Tottenham’s interest in Edwards may intensify, as they seek to bolster their squad ahead of the new season. However, whether Spurs will make a move to fulfill Edwards’ desire remains to be seen,
