Chelsea recalled a lot of players from loan early in this window, but it was only David Datro Fofana who then immediately left on a new lease.

That is promising to us – it shows there was some kind of plan, not a rushed last minute move. He’s gone to Burnley, whose manager Vincent Kompany was asked about what the Ivorian striker can bring to the table for him.

He sounds genuinely enthusiastic about the striker’s attributes and their potential to help Burnley get some goals and battle relegation. They play Man City tomorrow night.
