Barcelona have taken the lead against Real Sociedad, in a game they need to win in order to move back into second place ahead of Girona. Star boy Lamine Yamal was on the end of a flowing move, but it was veteran Robert Lewandowski that made the goal.

After coming close through some lovely combination play between Ilkay Gundogan and Lamine Yamal, Raphinha would hammer the post from outside the box. Barcelona eventually found a way through just minutes before the break though, with Lewandowski turning his marker, setting Gundogan in behind, and the 16-year-old made no mistake from the German’s assist.

His seventh goal of the season, Lamine Yamal now has 16 goal contributions in his first year as part of the first team, and has been one of the leading attacking forces for Barcelona. If there is one positive for the Blaugrana coming out of this year, he leads the running to be it.
