Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands side remains top of Nations League Group A4 after extending their unbeaten run to 14 games with a 2-0 win over Poland on Thursday night.

Manchester United target Cody Gakpo got his name on the scoresheet with the opening goal.

The PSV Eindhoven forward finished off a superb passing move when he scored an easy tap-in from Denzel Dumfries’ low cross from the right flank.

Van Gaal’s side went on to win the match 2-0.

Will United go back in for Gakpo?

Obviously, Gakpo didn’t join United in the summer, so the question is will they rekindle their interest in the future? The Manchester Evening News are still running speculative reports to suggest he is still a target.

United opted to sign Antony instead but Gakpo plays on the opposite wing. He may be a player Ten Hag revisits in the future.

For PSV this season he has scored 9 goals and registered 6 assists in 12 matches.
