I tend not to weigh in on Manchester United players, especially when they are up against heavy criticism from pundits and the mainstream media.

Antony tests my patience, though. It’s mostly because the tricky Brazilian winger doesn’t help himself.

From talking to unpopular fan channels to bringing more attention his way with celebrations featuring Sonic The Hedgehog, you would think Antony would get his head down and focus on his performances, which has been underwhelming since his mega-money move from Ajax in 2022.

Antony didn’t even start against Arsenal, yet he is again a talking point after the game for the wrong reasons.

The 23-year-old replaced Amad Diallo after 70 minutes. Not only did he fail to impact the game, which Arsenal won 1-0, he always threw a strop.

It looks like Antony didn’t take too well to orders after being asked to fulfil duties at full-back.

Scott McTominay can be seen telling him to get on with it in the video footage below.

Antony is not in a place to pick and choose his role. He should focus on performing well and contributing to the team.

Otherwise, Antony’s days at Old Trafford should be numbered because a proper United player wouldn’t behave that way.
