The International Tennis Hall of Fame named Patrick McEnroe its president and Dan Faber as the chief executive officer, effective May 1.

They will replace Todd Martin, who resigned as the tennis hall's CEO at the end of 2022, and will work with its executive board and board of governors. The nonprofit Hall of Fame is located in Newport, R.I.

"Both are impactful leaders in the tennis industry and join an outstanding leadership team and staff in Newport," said Dan Swan, the president of the board of governors, in a news release issued Wednesday. "Dan's impressive track record in education and development shone through in an extensive search that saw many exceptional candidates. Patrick's background as an accomplished player, broadcaster, and global ambassador for our sport is a tremendous addition to furthering the ITHF's mission in the tennis world."

Faber has more than 20 years of experience in the tennis industry, including the past decade as the CEO of the USTA Foundation. He was named the Racquet Sports Industry's person of the year in 2019.

McEnroe, who won the 1989 doubles title at the French Open along with partner Jim Grabb, spent 10 years as the U.S. Davis Cup captain. He also worked as the USTA's general manager of player development.

The 56-year-old McEnroe will continue in his roles as an analyst with ESPN during Grand Slam tournaments, a CNN contributor and the vice captain of Team World for the Laver Cup.
