In the world of tennis, there have often been moments when a tennis player had a fan moment with their idol from the same sport. Recently, 21-year-old Qinwen Zheng experienced such a moment when she ran into her idol Novak Djokovic during a press conference.

In a recent press conference at the United Cup, the team China was at a press conference after a well-earned victory against the Czech Republic when Novak Djokovic crashed the party with his presence.

Zheng, who starred during that match, had a big fangirl moment when she waved back at the Serbian and told him not to leave without giving her his autograph.

Idol! Please don't go. I haven't gotten your signature yet. Said the Chinese while waving at her idol

She shined in her match against Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova in the singles tournament and later got another point for her team in the mixed doubles, where she teamed up with Zhang Zhizen to beat the team of Vondrousova and Jiri Lehecka. This was their first group E victory, as they beat the Czech team 3-0.

Team China gets a huge confidence boost before facing team Serbia on 31st

After a commanding victory over the Czech Republic, team China gets a win to their name as they gear up to face the Novak Djokovic-led team Serbia on Sunday, December 31st.

This will be the first match for team Serbia in the United Cup, who will look to have a good clash against the mighty Chinese. In a recent press conference, Serbian pro Djokovic praised the growth of tennis in the China camp.

In addition to this, World No. 1 also comments on the improvement of women’s tennis in China and how the country needs more male players to break into the top ranks.

Djokovic also realizes that it’s been a minute since he last visited China and is looking forward to returning to the country. As of now, the 36-year-old has already started his new season by leading the Serbian team in the United Cup. Serbia first faced the China Open in their opening match and then faced off against the Czech Republic.
