Jackie Young announced that she will join Chelsea Gray and Kelsey Plum in Unrivaled, beginning in January 2025. Young is the ninth confirmed player in this new league, and like Kelsey Plum, she is not new to 3×3 basketball. She won gold in the 3×3 basketball event at the previous Olympics with Kelsey Plum. Young currently averages 18.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game with the Aces.

The league is still revealing its players, with 21 more to be revealed. Unrivaled will be a three-month season set up in Miami that will not interfere with WNBA training camps. Unrivaled will also pay substantial wages to athletes, with everyone earning at least $100,000 for the season. The overall compensation to the league will be roughly $3 million. The six-figure pay is expected to be the highest average in professional women’s sports.

With 21 players still to be revealed, it will be interesting to see whether A’ja Wilson or any other Aces join Jackie, Kelsey, and Chelsea in Unrivaled.
