Alongside his daughter Jordyn, Phoenix Mercury head coach Nate Tibbetts shared his thoughts on how his team was neck-and-neck with the Los Angeles Sparks going into halftime, falling into foul trouble, third quarter woes, the bench fighting back, what the team will look/play like once they’re fully healthy and more after losing 98-85 on Friday night.

With Brittney Griner and Sophie Cunningham out injured, Phoenix had to figure out a way to cope with having two of their better players unavailable.

The game was tied 42-42 at halftime before the Sparks took over in the third quarter, outscoring the Mercury 32-19. Phoenix committed 30 fouls which led LA to score 28 points from 31 free throw attempts.
